A Chiefs fan at Thursday night’s 2024 season opener is going to have a chance to meet former tight end Tony Gonzalez and win a pair of Super Bowl LIX tickets.

Crown Royal is planning to bring an 18-wheeler to 10 NFL games this season, and it will start with Thursday’s contest at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Crown Royal said it will be there to “bring fans exclusive merch, giveaways, and most importantly, to drive generosity.”

That latter sentiment was about Crown Royal’s “Purple Bag Project.” The company said it works with the non-profit organization Packages From Home to make care packages for active military members.

Crown Royal bags are used to carry the goods for people serving overseas.

“At each stop, fans will be able to participate in Crown Royal’s Purple Bag Project by packing a bag of essentials for military members in exchange for exclusive Crown Royal merch, and best of all, a chance to win a pair of Super Bowl LIX tickets,” the company said in a news release.

Here is a look at when those care packages were filled ahead of an Eagles preseason game.

Gonzalez will be at the 18-wheeler and offer a toast to the winner of the first Super Bowl tickets, Crown Royal said.
