Perhaps I'm wrong, but Peter Moylan was a fan favorite in his two seasons with the Royals.
Moylan made impact on and off the field. He introduced Kansas Citians to “The Sledge-iatto” coffee drink and had a 3.46 ERA in 129 appearances, becoming of Ned Yost's most reliable relievers.
Fans hoped Moylan would return for a third season, but he instead signed with the Atlanta Braves. Moylan had a comical moment Wednesday during a 4-0 loss to the Phillies.
Philadelphia starter Jake Arrieta hit a comebacker that Moylan knocked down. The ball stopped by his foot, but Moylan initially couldn't find it.
Braves catcher Kurt Suzuki was yelling to Moylan, and that may have been what helped him find the ball. As the announcer noted, "What are the odds that the guy from Australian forgets to look down under?"
Moylan got the out at first base and then smiled.
