In his ranking of college football Power Five conference coaches, Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports has broken things down over two days.
On Wednesday, Fornelli will reveal the top 25. He started Tuesday with the 40 coaches who didn't crack his top 25 list, and he counted them down.
Right off the bat were two coaches with local ties.
At No. 65: Kansas coach David Beaty. Fornelli wrote: "Even though there are some who haven't coached a game yet, Beaty finishes in last due to being 3-33 in three seasons."
Just ahead of Beaty is new Arizona State coach Herm Edwards, the former Chiefs coach and ESPN analyst.
"I can't help but believe his time with the Sun Devils is either a disaster or a major success. No in between," Fornelli wrote.
Edwards hasn't coached since he was fired by the Chiefs after the 2008 season.
Missouri coach Barry Odom made a jump in the rankings, which you can find here. There is no Bill Snyder, which means the K-State coach is in the top 25.
