Houston Astros pitcher Ken Giles might be feeling a bit sore Wednesday morning.
He took a punch to the jaw during Houston's 4-0 loss to the Yankees on Tuesday night. Thing is, there wasn't a fight.
Giles did it to himself.
Upset after giving up a monster three-run homer to the Yankees' Gary Sanchez and allowing all four runs in the top of the ninth inning, Giles headed to the dugout in a rage.
He took it out on himself:
"I screwed up a win," Giles told MLB.com. "We should have won this game. We should have bounced back. I didn't give our team a chance. Of course I'm going to be frustrated with that. This team deserves the best out of everybody and they need me to be the best I can be. They deserve that and that's what I'm going to give them from here on out."
