Chiefs fans don’t want to hear any talk about a possible Marcus Peters trade

The chatter began Sunday when Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk wrote that some in the NFL wonder if the Chiefs might trade cornerback Marcus Peters.

On Monday night, Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com tweeted: “Continue to hear chatter that Marcus Peters may not be long for KC. Figure that intensifies next week at the combine”

Peters, 25, has been sensational in his three seasons with the Chiefs, collecting 19 interceptions, forcing five fumbles and generally not being thrown at much in games.

That’s why Chiefs fans are either not buying the speculation about trade talks or they flat-out don’t want it to happen.

An Arrowhead Pride poll showed nearly three-quarters of Chiefs fans don’t want the team to deal Peters.
