The Bears dominated the game from the early stages and took a three-game winning streak into Monday’s game against Oklahoma State with an average victory margin of 20 points in that stretch.

▪ Players of the week (Selected by the conference): Baylor big man Rico Gathers, who averaged 15.5 points and 17 rebounds per game, and Oklahoma State senior guard Anthony Hickey, who averaged 15.0 points, were chosen player and newcomer of the week.

The Rebels cooled off Texas A&M and outlasted Auburn, setting up a big week with games at Florida and against Arkansas. The league’s last-place team will reside in Columbia after Tuesday when Missouri travels to South Carolina.

▪ Players of the week (selected by the conference): Mississippi guard Stefan Moody, who averaged 17.0 points and 4.5 assists per game, and Vanderbilt guard Riley LaChance, who averaged 17.0 points and 4.5 rebounds, were chosen player and freshmen of the week.
