Missouri football will open the 2018 and 2020 seasons against Football Championship Subdivision opponents — and pay nearly $1 million to do it.
The Tigers will open the 2018 season against Tennessee-Martin.
The game is scheduled for Sept. 1 at Memorial Stadium in Columbia and the Skyhawks will receive $475,000 for its participation in the game.
Two years later, Missouri opens the 2020 season at home against Central Arkansas.

The game will be played Sept. 5 and the Bears will receive a $425,000 appearance fee.
Among other revelations from documents obtained by The Star, the Tigers will host North Texas on Oct. 16, 2021. The Mean Green’s share of from the game will be $1.3 million.
Missouri has completed its 2017 and 2018 nonconference schedules and only has one game to fill in 2019 and 2020.
