Kansas guard Brannen Greene did not suit up for the second straight game Saturday because of a back injury.
Greene did not play in the Jayhawks’ Sweet 16 win over Maryland on Thursday and KU coach Bill Self told The Star on Friday that Greene was unlikely to play Saturday against Villanova.
Self said he suspected Greene “wouldn’t be very effective for a while.” Greene, a reserve, averages 5.4 points and shoots 49.2 percent on three-pointers.
