College Football Playoff scoreboard

Here’s how the top six in the playoff rankings fared heading into Sunday’s selection show (11:45 a.m. on ESPN). The selection committee will announce the Jan. 1 national semifinal matchups and teams for four other major bowl games on New Year’s Eve and Day.

▪ No. 1 Alabama (12-1): Beat No. 16 Missouri 42-13 in SEC championship

▪ No. 2 Oregon (12-1): Beat No. 7 Arizona 51-13 in Pac-12 championship (Friday)

▪ No. 3 TCU (11-1): Beat Iowa State 55-3, won share of Big 12 title

▪ No. 4 Florida State (13-0): Beat No. 11 Georgia Tech 37-35 in ACC championship

▪ No. 5 Ohio State (12-1): Beat No. 13 Wisconsin 59-0 in Big Ten championship

▪ No. 6 Baylor (11-1): Beat No. 9 Kansas State 38-27, won share of Big 12 title
