Around the nation in college football: Game of the week, upset of the week and more

Michigan State plays at Nebraska at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC. The Spartans, 5-0 in the Big Ten, could take the Legends Division by the throat by winning in Lincoln, and the Cornhuskers, 4-1 in the conference, would control their future by protecting home turf. Nebraska has never lost to Michigan State, owning a 7-0 series lead, including a victory in the 2003 Alamo Bowl, when Bo Pelini served as the Huskers’ interim head coach.
