Heart of America college football games to air on KSMO, ESPN3 this fall

All 12 Heart of America Athletic Conference football teams will appear on television at least once this season under an agreement between the conference and Niles Media Group announced Wednesday.

The 13-game package will begin with Baker at Grand View (Iowa) on Aug. 29 and a Sept. 5 doubleheader featuring Graceland at Missouri Valley and Grand View at Central Methodist. The schedule then consists of one game per week, concluding with a “flex” matchup on Nov. 14 that will have championship implications. Niles Media, located in Liberty, will produce the games, which will air on KSMO (Ch. 62) in the Kansas City area and online via ESPN3.

“My goal as commissioner is to look for opportunities to improve the experience for student-athletes and coaches while raising the profile for institutions and the conference,” Heart of America commissioner Lori Thomas said. “To televise a 13-week football schedule achieves all of that.”
