If you can’t beat ‘em … play dead?

Arkansas State got morbidly creative Saturday against Miami.

Down 20-7 in the second quarter, Arkansas State tried to get a little spark of life with a fake punt.

But the punt wasn’t the only thing that was fake. After the ball was snapped, Red Wolves wide receiver Booker Mays fell over backward and played dead while punter Luke Ferguson threw an errant pass down the field.

Miami paid no attention to Mays. The play, like the rest of the game, went the Hurricanes’ way, and Miami went on to win 41-20.
