West Virginia coach Bob Huggins said the availability of All-Big 12 guard Juwan Staten for the Mountaineers’ quarterfinal game against Baylor will be a game-time decision. Staten has missed the last three games because of knee and groin injuries and hasn’t practiced since Feb. 24.
The game tips off at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Sprint Center.
Guard Gary Brown, who hasn’t played since suffering an ankle injury in the opening minutes of West Virginia’s loss to Baylor on Feb. 28, is more like to play but his return also is uncertain.
