Americans 3, Mavericks 1
▪ MAVS COME CLOSE BUT FALL SHORT: The Mavericks dropped their fifth straight game on Sunday (three of those to Allen) falling by a 3-1 score. Missouri outshot the Central Division leaders 40-37 and had better chances but Allen Americans goalie Riley Gill made 39 saves earning the win.
▪ ALBER STRIKES GOLD: Mavs defenseman Patch Alber had a big night on Saturday recording a multi-assist game and then on Sunday he found the back of the net for the first time as a member of the Orange Army. Alber has a goal and eight assists with Missouri and his goal on Sunday served as the lone strike for the Mavs.
▪ UP NEXT: Missouri is off until Friday night when they host the Rapid City Rush at the Independence Events Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM (CST).
