Former Missouri swimmer Mack Darragh qualified for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro as a member of the Canadian swim team.
Darragh, 22, won the 100- and 200-meter butterfly at the Canadian Olympic and Para-Swimming trials in April, but neither time met the individual qualifying standard.
However, Darragh — a native of Ontario, who also competed for his country at the 2014 Pan Pacific Games in Australia — will swim the butterfly leg for the Canadian 400 medley relay.
Darragh owns Mizzou’s all-time records in the 200-meter butterfly (1 minute, 41.59 seconds) and 200 individual medley (1:44.60). He also owns top-five marks in the 100 butterfly (47.51) and 400 individual medley (3:44.83).
