One NFL Draft day down, two to go. How are Kansas City Chiefs doing? We’ll discuss at noon
Entering the NFL Draft, the Chiefs figured to look defense early, and with two selections in the first round they were in a position to address those needs.
So they did. The Chiefs held the Nos. 29 and 30 picks. They traded up to No. 21 to select Washington cornerback Trent McDuffie, and nine picks later they took Purdue defensive end George Karlaftis. They will get every opportunity to start.
But the Chiefs are far from finished. They enter the draft’s second day with eight picks remaining, and on today’s SportsBeat Live, beat writer Herbie Teope and columnists Sam McDowell and Vahe Gregorian will evaluate the first day and project the rest of the draft. The show kicks off a noon.
