Defensive end Mike Catapano still has a locker at the Chiefs facility and is on the reserve/non-football illness list, but the club still does not have a diagnosis.

The last time Catapano, a seventh-round pick in 2013, practiced was during training camp in St. Joseph.

“They’re still doing research on it,” said coach Andy Reid. “It’s a concern, obviously. Our docs are on top of it. He’s had some specialists look at him. There’s no conclusion … my thing is I always care for the player, and you want the best for them at this point. … There’s no flu-like systems. It’s just hard to describe.”

Reid said Derrick Johnson underwent successful surgery on his ruptured Achilles’ on Wednesday as did defensive end Mike DeVito on Thursday.
