After a strong start to camp, Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe has dropped a handful of passes over the last few practices.
But according to coach Andy Reid, there might be a reason for that.
“Dwayne Bowe has been out here and his finger is shot,” Reid said. “It’s been thrown out of place about 15 times, so now he’s not catching the ball but he’s getting his work done. You can practice with that kind of thing.”
Reid did not elaborate on how long Bowe has been dealing with the injury or how long of a recovery time there might be.

Bowe signed a five-year, $56 million contract last offseason and approached career lows with 57 catches, 673 yards and five touchdowns.
Bowe, who turns 30 in September, hired a nutritionist and a personal trainer for the first time this offseason and has earned praise from his coaches regarding his conditioning.
He caught one pass for 10 yards in the Chiefs’ exhibition win over the Bengals on Aug. 7.
