Sporting Kansas City completed its 2015 MLS SuperDraft class Tuesday when it selected New Mexico forward James Rogers in the third round and Tulsa defender Tony Rocha in the fourth round.
The final two rounds of the draft were conducted via conference call Tuesday afternoon. Sporting KC selected midfielder Connor Hallisey and defenders Saad Abdul-Salaam and Amadou Dia with three first-round picks last Thursday.
Rogers was a second-team All-Conference USA player after scoring four goals and recording five assists in 18 starts in his senior season. He had 18 goals in his four-year collegiate career.
“He’s a wide player. He actually scored quite a few goals last year from that position,” Sporting KC coach Peter Vermes said. “… We’re interested to see what he’s like and how he makes the next step to this level.”

Rocha was a four-year starter with Tulsa, where he recorded seven goals and 10 assists over 76 appearances. He played left back, left wing and internal midfielder over his college career, Vermes said.
