FC Kansas City announced on Monday that it acquired midfielder Desiree Scott, an allocated Canadian Women’s National Team player.
This will be Scott’s second tour with the Blues, having also played in Kansas City in the National Women’s Soccer League’s inaugural season in 2013. She started and played every minute for the Blues that year as they went 11-6-5.
“I am beyond excited to be heading back to Kansas City where my professional career began,” Scott said in a statement. “I have been following the team’s success over the last two seasons and only hope to be a great addition to the squad to help bring home another championship. I’m really looking forward to head back to the NWSL, meet the girls and get ready for an exciting season ahead.”
Scott is a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup veteran with a bronze medal from the 2012 London Olympics.
