As they prepare for a rematch on the road against Washington at 6:30 p.m. today, there is a much different type of discussion brewing. With a three-match unbeaten streak, including a 2-0 victory against Portland FC on Sunday, is FC Kansas City reaching the apex of its season?
Those younger players — most notably midfielder Erika Tymrak, forward Courtney Jones and striker Melissa Henderson — have added speed and possession.
“As we get toward the end of the season, everyone realizes how important every single game is,” Andonovski said. “We’re treating every game from here on out like the most important game of the season.”
