Brett Eibner helped the Royals finish the Cactus League season without one more loss with a pair of home runs in a 4-4 tie with the Los Angeles Dodgers in Wednesday's spring finale.
Eibner launched a two-run shot to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth. He had already gone deep in the seventh.
In his final outing before Opening Day, Yordano Ventura gave up two runs in four innings.
The Royals finished the Cactus League with an 18-10-1 record. They escaped with only one significant injury, when Tim Collins required Tommy John surgery. Manager Ned Yost felt pleased to complete camp in good health and good spirits.
“Your goal coming in here is just getting everybody systematically ramped up to be ready to go opening day,” Yost said. “I feel like we’ve accomplished that. Everybody is ready to go.”
