Blue Valley West got past Manhattan High in the semifinals and will play for a Kansas Class 6A state championship in girls soccer. BV West topped Manhattan High 3-2 at the College Boulevard Activities Complex in Olathe on Friday.
BV West will face Washburn Rural in the final on Saturday.
Shawnee Mission Northwest gave Washburn Rural all it could handle in the semifinals, but the Cougars came up short in overtime.

After playing to a scoreless tie in regulation, Washburn Rural finally found the net in OT, beating SM Northwest 1-0.
Blue Valley Southwest also will play for a state championship. BV Southwest stayed unbeaten on the season at 18-0-1 with a 1-0 win over Wichita Bishop Carroll in Topeka.
BV Southwest will play Mill Valley in Saturday's title game. Mill Valley beat Maize 5-3 in Friday's other semifinal.
Class 4A, Division I
The Bishop Miege girls scored a first-half goal and then added another in the second half, giving Miege a chance for a state title of its own.
Miege beat McPherson 2-1 on Friday evening in Newton, Kan., and advanced to Saturday's state championship game in Kansas Class 4-1A.
Miege on Saturday will take on Louisburg, which beat Topeka Hayden 1-0.
