A second-quarter outburst by New Mexico State spelled disaster for the UMKC women Saturday in a 60-43 loss at Swinney Recreation Center.
The Kangaroos (6-12, 1-4 in the Western Athletic Conference) trailed by three after the first quarter, but the Aggies (13-6, 5-0) went on a 19-0 run and led 36-17 at the half.
Kristen Moore led UMKC with 17 points. The Kangaroos made only 31 percent of their shots and committed 21 turnovers.
Gia Pack scored 16 points for the Aggies.
