Guard LaVell Boyd’s huge game wasn’t enough for UMKC to overcome UT Martin on Tuesday night at Municipal Auditorium.
Despite Boyd’s 32 points, the Kangaroos lost 77-66 to the Skyhawks. No other player scored in double figures for UMKC (7-7).
Boyd made 9 of 20 shots, including 7 of 12 three-pointers. The rest of the Kangaroos hit just 12 of 47 shots, and 2 of 22 threes.
Kedar Edwards scored 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for the Skyhawks (10-4).
