MU women stay unbeaten, will play Miami in championship game of Hurricanes’ tourney

The Missouri women’s basketball team stayed undefeated on Friday and moved into the title game of a holiday tournament.

The Tigers downed the Hartford Hawks 68-45 in the University of Miami Thanksgiving Tournament in Coral Gables, Fla., and improved to 7-0 on the season.

Missouri will play Miami in the championship game today at 2. Miami beat St. Francis Brooklyn 78-57 on Friday in the four-team tournament.

Bri Kulas led the Tigers with 24 points. Kulas got 17 of her points in the first half. Freshman Jordan Frericks added a career-high 13 points.

Missouri controlled things on the boards, outrebounding the Hawks 49-30. Frericks had eight of those rebounds for the Tigers.
