K-State grabs No. 2 seed in West

MANHATTAN | Kansas State was slotted as a No.2 seed in the West region of the NCAA Tournament. Its first-round game will be Thursday against No. 15 seed North Texas in Oklahoma City.

NCAA Tournament game times will be announced late tonight or tomorrow.

The Kansas State basketball team gathered at Colbert Hills Golf Course to watch the seeding show Sunday.

For the first time in years, ninth-ranked K-State watched the NCAA Tournament selection show in complete comfort. After going 24-6 in the regular season and 2-1 in the Big 12 tournament, the Wildcats knew their spot in the tournament was secure.

The Wildcats will return to practice Monday.
