Kansas basketball walk-on Josh Pollard is leaving the program to play closer to his home in Utah, KU coach Bill Self confirmed on Thursday.

Pollard, a 6-foot-4 freshman, is the nephew of former KU star Scot Pollard and a native of Cedar Hills, Utah. He played in seven games during the 2014-15 season.

With the graduation of walk-on Christian Garrett and the departure of Pollard, Kansas has just two remaining walk-ons on its roster — guard Evan Manning, who will be a senior, and guard Tyler Self, who will be a redshirt junior.
