No. 2-ranked prep to attend KU’s Late Night in Phog on official recruiting visit

Zion Williamson, the No. 2-ranked prospect in the recruiting class of 2018 according to Rivals.com, will make an official visit to Kansas the weekend of Sept. 29-Oct. 1, Rivals.com reported Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound senior forward from Spartanburg (S.C.) Day High School, will attend Late Night in the Phog on Sept. 30 as part of the official visit. It also was reported Tuesday that Williamson would make an official visit to Kentucky on Sept. 22-24.

Williamson made an official visit to Clemson last weekend and earlier in the week set visits to Duke (Oct. 20-22) and UCLA (Oct. 27-29).

KU coach Bill Self was scheduled to have an in-home visit with Williamson on Tuesday night. Kentucky coach John Calipari is due in Wednesday afternoon and UCLA coach Steve Alford on Wednesday night.
