ESPN Big Monday basketball games at West Virginia and Kansas State and home contests versus Oklahoma and Texas highlight the Big 12 portion of Kansas’ basketball schedule, which was announced Thursday.
This marks the 12th straight year KU has played four Big Monday contests. The Jayhawks will meet West Virginia on Jan. 15 and Kansas State on Jan. 29. KU will play host to Oklahoma on Feb. 19 and Texas on Feb. 26, which will also be Senior Night at Allen Fieldhouse.
For the second straight year, KU will begin conference play in December. Kansas will play at Texas on Friday, Dec. 29, to start its league slate of games. KU’s league home opener will be the following Tuesday, Jan. 2, against Texas Tech.
KU will take a break from the Big 12 slate on Jan. 27 when Texas A&M travels to KU for a game in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge at a yet to be determined time. Two other games on the nonconference portion of the schedule have times yet to be announced: against Kentucky in the Champions Classic on Nov. 14 and Dec. 16 at Nebraska.

For the 26th consecutive season dating to 1992-93, every game on the KU schedule will be televised. In all, 23 of KU’s contests will be on ESPN or ESPN2. CBS will broadcast two games, while ESPNU will broadcast one. Every ESPN game, including KU’s six Jayhawk Television Network games, will be televised on Spectrum Sports KC or online on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.
Kansas released its nonconference schedule on June 1. Highlights include games against Kentucky in Chicago and against Syracuse on Dec. 2 in the Hoophall Miami Invitational in Miami.
