Missouri Sports Hall of Fame announces its 2015 class

The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame announced its 2015 class Tuesday, comprising 14 individuals, one family, one team and one program.

The induction ceremony will take place Jan. 15 in Springfield.

The 2015 class:

▪ Missouri Sports Legend: Ned Reynolds, sports announcer

▪ Chris Carpenter, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher

▪ Nick Lowery, Chiefs kicker

▪ Mike Alden, MU athletic director

▪ Andy Russell, MU and Steelers linebacker

▪ Winston Garland, Southwest Missouri State basketball player

▪ The Farmer family, multiple athletic accomplishments

▪ Bob Roth, sports contributions

▪ Kathy Anderson, Central Missouri basketball and administrator

▪ Keith Guttin, Missouri State baseball coach

▪ Larry Anderson, Central Methodist coach and athletic director

▪ Ann Cook, soccer player and coach

▪ Fred Merrell, high school football coach

▪ Virgil Ward, fishing (posthumously)

▪ Webb City High School football program

▪ 1969 Missouri Tigers football team

▪ Chris Hamon, President’s Award
