Victim’s father tries to attack Nassar in court
A man whose three daughters were sexually assaulted by former U.S. Olympic gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar tried to attack him during sentencing on Friday in Charlotte, Mich.
The Lansing State Journal identified the man as Randall Margraves, and said three of his daughters were among the more than 250 women and girls assaulted by Nassar. He was stopped before reaching Nassar, and was pushed to the floor by police officers.
While being restrained by the officers, Margraves said: “I want that son of a bitch.”
Later Margraves said: “Give me one minute with that bastard.”
Margraves was handcuffed and taken out of the courtroom, the Journal reported.
Video of the incident is above.
The Journal reported that after two of Margraves’ daughters spoke, he made a request to the judge: “I would ask you as part of this sentencing grant me five minutes in a locked room with this demon.”
Judge Janice Cunningham said no. Margraves asked for a minute, and she again said no. Then he ran at Nassar.
