Warmer weather is here to stay (we hope) and that means one thing: It’s patio season. Whether you’re in it for the people watching or to sip on your favorite cocktail, these are some of Kansas City’s best spots to dine al fresco.

If the food and drink list isn’t enough to draw you in, the patio of this Country Club Plaza restaurant will definitely win you over. The laid back, low-key feel of Gram & Dun makes it one of the most sought-after spots when the temperatures rise. If you get a table between 3 and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, you can enjoy happy hour specials like Beef Fat Fries or French Onion Dumplings. Need we say more?
Harry’s Country Club
This Rivermarket staple is home to a sizeable outdoor patio with picnic tables to sit on while you sip on your top-shelf cocktail. To snag a seat at Harry’s, you might want to arrive before happy hour begins at 3 p.m. on weekdays. Bonus: When summer rolls around, the patio comes to life with live music on the weekends.
Whether you’re dining on Southwest Boulevard or at the Spanish restaurant‘s Leawood location, you’ll find an inviting outdoor patio. On the Kansas side, you’ll find a sangria bar with happy hour from 2 to 6 p.m. seven days a week. The Southwest Boulevard location offers the same happy hour, with bottles of wine for half price on Mondays. Sangria is half off at both locations on Friday and Saturdays.
The popular Crossroads spot offers the perfect people-watching patio on First Fridays, not to mention a great happy hour. From 3 to 6 p.m. on weekdays, you can sip on $3 house cocktails while the kitchen prepares your $5 truffle fries or street tacos. If the weather’s right on the weekends, don’t miss out on the Jacobson’s brunch specials, which include $15 bottomless mimosas, bloody marys and bellinis from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The spectacular view from Trezo Mare‘s Briarcliff patio is enough to draw a crowd of customers, but the happy hour specials certainly don’t hurt, either. Go on a Monday and the specials, like $5 house-made chips and chicken artichoke dip, last all night. The cozy seating and festive lights will make it hard to leave.
