Celebrate St. Pat’s with deals from some of Kansas City’s restaurants and bars
This week’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities don’t begin and end at the annual parade in Westport. To keep the party going, we rounded up a number of specials at Kansas City-area bars and restaurants.
Head to The Dubliner in the Power & Light District if you’re planning on celebrating St. Pat’s early. The restaurant is hosting an Irish brunch from 8 to 11 a.m. Other specials will be offered throughout the day, including $4 Fireball shots, $5 Jameson shots, and a 32 ounce Dubliner Amber Ale for $7.

Bar Louie‘s party, called Shamrock ‘N Roll, takes place Thursday, March 17 and Saturday, March 19 with $4 green beer and $5 Jameson shots all day.
Westport’s Doughnut Lounge will offer drink specials and St. Patrick’s Day-themed doughnuts Thursday. The themed doughnuts include the Irish Car Bomb, a yeast doughnut filled with Bailey’s & Jamison mousse and topped with chocolate Guinness glaze and the Shamrock Kiss, a green mint-filled yeast doughnut topped with sprinkles. Specialty “Noduts” include a corn meal doughnut bowl with Guinness stew and a Reuben-themed doughnut.
Llewelyn’s Pub in Overland Park is hosting an all-day party for $20. The fee includes an all-you-can-eat Irish buffet, $5 Jameson shots and $5 car bombs. Musical entertainment starts at 9 a.m., including sets by Landrush and The Nace Brothers.
Paddy O’Quigley’s in Leawood will start the St. Patrick’s Day festivities at 9 a.m. with an Irish breakfast. The bar and pub will also have a DJ all day with bagpipers and Irish dancers in the afternoon.
Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar is offering a five-course meal for $60 starting at 4 p.m. The menu includes fried oyster and chips, Colcannon and corned beef. Happy hour will run from 4 to 6 p.m.
From 11 a.m. to close, Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Leawood will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and March Madness with basketball on seven TVs and specials all day. Specialty drinks at Sullivan’s will be $7, and draft beer will be $5. Irish dishes will be served, along with smaller-portioned bar bites.
Dolce Bakery in Prairie Village is offering their chocolate Guinness cake through St. Patrick’s Day.
