Inside Boulevard Brewing Company’s new Beer Hall, tasting room and dry goods store
After buying and renovating a four-story building adjacent to the brewery last year, Boulevard Brewing Company has officially opened the doors of its new 20,000 square-foot Visitor Center at 2534 Madison Avenue.
The building is now home to an expanded dry goods store, a tasting room and a Beer Hall, open daily. The tasting room, which can fit up to 100 guests, allows more room for tour groups to sample Boulevard’s many beers.

The Beer Hall, located on the second floor, serves as another space for guests at the end of tours, or visitors who want to grab a bite to eat and sip on a beer. Food offerings at the Beer Hall include pretzel dogs, meat and cheese plates and snacks from local grocers and restaurants such as Farm to Market, The Sundry, Green Dirt Farm and Dolce Bakery. The Beer Hall is open daily starting at 11 a.m.
The Beer Hall is a lively space for guests to gather, with a photo booth, a Foosball table and game tables for groups big and small. In the dry goods store, customers can purchase locally-made items or create their own six pack of beer.
Several Kansas City-area companies teamed up with Boulevard on the construction of the building, including Helix Architecture + Design, Hammer Out Design, Carpenter Creative and The Wood Lot.
Much of the wood seen on the first floor of the Visitor Center was salvaged from old brewery buildings as well as a farm in Missouri that belonged to a local family. Due to the expanded space, Boulevard was also able to add more free and paid tours to its daily itinerary, which run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
