The Crown Center restaurant will transform into a pop-up dining spot in 2017
After more than 40 years as Crown Center’s flagship restaurant, The American is transforming into a pop-up dining experience in 2017.
The American’s new venture will showcase emerging trends in food and put a spotlight on innovative chefs in the industry.

“We’re excited to introduce new patrons to this incredible dining space and offer an array of experiences to meet the evolving taste of today’s diners,” Stacey Paine, president of Crown Center, said in a statement.
The American also announced that its executive chef, Michael Corvino, will be leaving the restaurant in August.
“During his tenure with The American, Executive Chef Michael Corvino upheld the restaurant’s exceptional reputation and enhanced our culinary offerings,” Paine said in a statement. “We wish Michael much success and thank him for his contributions.”
Reservations for the traditional dining experience at The American will still be available through the end of 2016. The venue will continue to host weddings, parties and private events.
