Kid-Friendly Cuisine

The dish on the new children’s menu at Lidia’s Kansas City

Lidia’s Kansas City is known for its homemade pastas, fresh seafood and extensive Italian wine list, all conceptualized by owner and award-winning chef and restaurateur Lidia Bastianich. But for the past 19 years, one thing has been missing from the local eatery’s menu: kid-friendly cuisine.

And now, for the first time ever, you won’t have to share your authentic Italian dish with your little ones. Thanks to Lidia’s new children’s menu, kids 12 and younger can enjoy smaller, more simplified versions of the restaurant’s traditional dishes.

All options range in price from $7 to $9.50 and are available during lunch and dinner hours. Children can choose from classic Italian favorites such as spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce, chicken parmigiana and a breaded chicken cutlet, or opt for more adventurous selections such as fried calamari or gnocchi with pesto sauce.

“Nothing is more important to us than food and family,” Cody Hogan, Lidia’s general manager, said in a press release. “We have always catered to families with children by accommodating their requests for kid-friendly dishes, but now Lidia’s is proud to offer a dedicated children’s menu to make it easier for loyal customers with growing families to enjoy a meal out.”
