Inside one of the newest vintage shops in the West Bottoms
The West Bottoms is known as Kansas City’s go-to spot for vintage housewares and antique finds. Scores of people turn out the first weekend of each month to see what Bella Patina, Good Ju Ju and Bottoms Up Antiques have in stock. And this year, shoppers can add a new destination to their list: Varnish + Vine.
Located at 1409 W. 11th St., Varnish + Vine features a modern farmhouse aesthetic with industrial pieces, as well as house plants and gardening essentials. The owners, Shelby and Will Perry, moved from Atlanta to Kansas City in 2015 with the idea to open their own boutique. After nine weeks, the store has become a favorite among regular visitors, with one reviewer claiming it is a “must-stop shop in K.C.”
