Dream On

If you’re surfing the web for local home listings, search online no more. The Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City is hosting its annual Spring Parade of Homes next month, where you can step inside spaces big and small. From April 28 to May 13, homes will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with free admission. Browse through your dream kitchen, admire the spacious bathrooms and get inspired by the handiwork of Kansas City’s best home builders. Home guides are available at the HBA’s headquarters at I-435 and Holmes.

A New Spade in Town

More than 3,000 square feet of Kate Spade? Count us in. The brand that features the Kansas City designer’s namesake is opening a new outlet store in the Legends Outlets Kansas City this month. The shop will feature apparel, handbags, and accessories at discounted prices at 1847 Village West Parkway, Suite K-127.

Dear Society Part Deux

Treasure hunters, you’re in luck—local women’s boutique Dear Society is opening a second location in the Crossroads Arts District this spring. Owners Maria Casteel and Chanel Jezek opened the original location at 3566 Broadway Blvd. in 2016 with the goal to bring modern and vintage apparel, accessories and home goods to Kansas City. The Crossroads shop will feature the same aesthetic with a more refined selection in a smaller space at 18th and Baltimore. Look for the new location to open in early April.

A Brand New Baldwin

Matt and Emily Baldwin, the stylish hometown couple behind the Baldwin brand, are opening a new store concept on the Country Club Plaza. Baldwin Market will merge both Baldwin and Standard Style in a shopping experience unique to Kansas City. Baldwin’s full women and men’s collections will be available, along with a curated selection of women’s fashion brands and designers. Baldwin Market is expected to open this month and will include apothecary, jewelry, tableware and objects for the home.
