A breakdown of the KCFW events you won’t want to miss
Kansas City Fashion Week is just around the corner, providing the fashion obsessed with the chance to see the latest fall and winter collections from local and national designers. The biannual event includes a full week of fashion shows, where buyers, bloggers, entrepreneurs and local celebrities can get a front-row seat to to see the production in all of its glory.

Tuesday, March 28
Bubbly & Bowties Cocktail Kick-off Party
The 3rd annual kickoff party for Kansas City Fashion Week takes place at r24 Studios in the West Bottoms. The event, which starts at 6 p.m., includes small bites from Delish Catering and drinks from J. Rieger & Co. and Cooper’s Hawk Winery. Tickets are $30 apiece and can be purchased here.
Wednesday, March 29
The first runway show event begins at 6:30 p.m. at The Grand Hall at Power & Light. The historic venue will provide the background for an evening of fall and winter fashion from designers such as Miranda Hanson, Tobie Marie, Hannah Kristina Designs, Kelly Callaway Designs, Coco and Ilia, Keilah Jadlow, Sheraz Pompey, and J. Manning Apparel. If you want to skip the pomp and circumstance, the show kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 30
The Thursday evening runway show (also at The Grand Hall) follows the same schedule as Wednesday’s show, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. This night’s designers include Roger Figueroa, Wiki Wang, Amanda Casarez, Madyssen Jean, Lee Jeans, Noelle Designs, Crystal Brakhage Designs, More than Just Figleaves + Erin Paige.
Friday, March 31
Friday’s must-see show at The Grand Hall at Power & Light showcases designs from the likes of Joshua Christensen, Ethel and Dean, Julia Fischer, Nasheli Juliana, Lauren Bander, Andrea Marie Long Designs, TRBrown, and Queen’s Rocket. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m. Friday evening’s show includes a more formal dress code, so don’t forget to show off your red carpet-ready looks.
Saturday, April 1
Kansas City Fashion Week’s finale show is one of the most-attended events of the week, so show up early if you want a good spot for the runway show. The 8 p.m. show at The Grand Hall will feature designs from Michael Drummond, Tomboy, Barbara Bultman, christianMICHEAL + Dolyn Bags, Georgina Herrera, House of Cochon, Lucia’s Sarto + Dolyn Bags, and sHe by christianMICHEAL. The final event of KCFW is another chance to strut your stuff in more formal attire, so don’t be afraid to don a gown and heels.
