Twice in the past month or so, a person who had been the subject of a story in The Star contacted me to point out errors. In both instances, they were meaningful and definitely required a correction. When I replied that I'd get one in the works, the subjects told me that wasn't really necessary and they weren't requesting a correction. One asked merely that I make a note in The Star's internal archive so that the mistake won't be repeated in the future.
