Star should follow state child-care plan

I just got off the phone with a caller who thinks the program that is the subject of today's front-page centerpiece story merits scrutiny. "This state senator thinks his plan will make economic sense, but I don't see how that's possible," said the caller. "If (the parents) are really only paying premiums of 50 percent above the limit in the plan, I don't see how the program can stay solvent
