Without a doubt, the most-common request I’ve had in the past couple of weeks comes from readers who want copies of papers, photos and other objects from The Star’s coverage of the Kansas City Royals’ exhilarating playoff run.
Today, I’ve fielded many queries about how people can buy a print of Jill Toyoshiba’s photo from the cover of the special ALCS section, showing Mike Moustakas’ crazy catch as he jumped over the railing into the third-base dugout last night. (By the way, in the print edition, that photo got the wrong photographer’s credit. It will corrected on Page A-2 tomorrow.)
The bad news: MLB rules don’t allow journalists to sell prints of images taken on the field. However, full-page reprints are allowable.
