The Kansas City area got a good public relations ride in the January/February issue of AAA Midwest Traveler.
The magazine for the auto club included a story on the new Kansas City Automotive Museum, which opened last summer at 15095 W. 116th St. in Olathe. “The museum already is planning to move to a larger facility in a few years,” the magazine says.
Who knows, it could use the Kansas-Missouri border wars over which state could boast that it has such an attraction. The museum showcases vehicles and car artifacts owned by area residents. It has a cute Feb. 28 fundraiser titled “Dancing with the Cars.”
“There are typically 30 cars on exhibit at any one time from the earliest days of motoring through today, and they rotate occasionally,” the magazine says. Travelers looking for tourists spots certainly might find this museum appealing.
