Whit Merrifield doubled home a run and scored on a single by Angel Franco in the sixth inning as Class AA Northwest Arkansas broke a tie and went on to an 8-6 win at Tulsa.
It was a 5-5 game when Rey Navarro opened the sixth with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice. Merrifield followed with a double to give the Naturals the lead. Merrifield then stole third and scored on Franco's single.

The Drillers got a run in the the seventh to make it 7-6, but Matt Fields hit his 25th homer of the season to finish the scoring. Northwest Arkansas had three homers in the game. Orlando Calixte hit a solo shot in the first and Brian Fletcher hit a three-run homer that made it 4-1.
Jason Adam, 5-9, gutted out the win as he went five innings and allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits with a walk and four strikeouts. He threw two wild pitches.
Four relievers each went one inning: Santiago Garrido (one run allowed), Scott Alexander, Jason Bergmann and Zach Jackson. The first three pitchers each got a hold, while Jackson picked up his 10th save.
Fields had three hits, while Brett Eibner, Franco and Merrifield each had two hits.
