With Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton in a tight race in Iowa, Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill will head to the Hawkeye State this weekend to campaign for the Democratic frontrunner.
McCaskill will join fellow Sens. Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, Mazie Hirono of Hawaii and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota in a series of stops in eastern Iowa, which tends to be the most Democratic part of the state.
The group will focus on Clinton’s “commitment to moving America forward by guaranteeing women’s right to make their own health-care choices,” a statement from Clinton’s campaign said. “Hillary Clinton will always stand up for Planned Parenthood and for a woman’s right to choose.”
The group will stop in Mount Vernon, Dubuque, Waterloo and Mason City Friday and Saturday. Baldwin will make an additional stop on Saturday in Iowa City.
