Businessman David Koch plans a $10,000 per-plate fundraiser tonight for several Senate candidates, including Sens. Roy Blunt of Missouri and Jerry Moran of Kansas, according to the Connecticut Mirror.

The fundraiser is in New York, but is intended to benefit August Wolf, a Republican running for the Senate in Connecticut.

Federal law limits individual donations to $2,700 for the primary and $2,700 for the general election, so any $10,000 contribution would have to be split.

At the end of June, Moran had $2,349,899 in the bank — and no announced Democratic opponent.

Blunt claims $4.4 million on hand in his race against Jason Kander.

The fundraiser comes as an independent group linked with former George Bush adviser Karl Rove begins to buy ad time in Missouri, according to the Springfield News-Leader.
