Three major Democratic presidential candidates — Hillary Clinton, Martin O’Malley, and Sen. Bernie Sanders — are now slated to speak to the National Council of La Raza’s annual conference next week in Kansas City.
The group’s president and CEO, Janet Murguia, says “major” GOP candidates were also asked to speak, but none decided to do so.
“It’s unfortunate,” she said. “Attendees would like to hear from folks on both sides of the aisle. …It’s really disappointing.”
The conference starts Saturday.
