Republicans Pat Roberts and Sam Brownback are looking at another set of troubling poll numbers Tuesday.
Public Policy Polling — generally believed to skew Democratic — puts both Kansas candidates behind their opponents in a new poll.
PPP has it Greg Orman 41 percent, Roberts 34 percent. Chad Taylor, who has quit the race, gets 6 percent in the poll.
When voters are asked to choose only between Roberts and Orman, the independent leads 46 percent to 36 percent.

Brownback trails Paul Davis, 38 percent to 42 percent, in the governor’s race. Libertartian Keen Umbehr gets 7 percent.
Brownback is dramatically upside down in his job approval rating. While 36 percent approve of his performance, 53 percent disapprove.
In the same poll 58 percent disapprove of President Barack Obama’s performance.
The survey was taken Sept. 11 through Sept. 14, with 1,328 likely voters.
