Eric Greitens’ campaign says it has pulled into a statistical tie with opponent Chris Koster in the race for Missouri governor.
According to a poll provided to the Buzz, Republican Greitens trails Democrat Koster by three points — 45% percent for Koster, 42% for Greitens. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.1 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
“Greitens has caught up to Koster in terms of name ID despite Koster having the advantage of serving in office and several previous statewide campaigns,” says a polling memo from the Tarrance Group, a Washington-area consultant and pollster.
The memo says Donald Trump leads in Missouri by eight points, 46 percent to 38 percent for Hillary Clinton. It was taken between Sept. 19 and Sept. 22.
